Hi, Live in the Shores, am traveling for work, but will be back tomorrow. Can help you on Saturday for a few hours late morning early afternoon for trips to the hardware store or working on the bike (I've got a garage full of tools, and have done some wrenching on bikes). Sorry I can't offer more, but have a memorial service at 4p, and am in the process of transitioning my mom from the house she's lived in the past 40+ years into assisted living (she's living with me right now) so we've planned Sunday to start packing. Will send a PM with my cell

What are you building Dale ? Is that a trailer hitch on the stern ?

Well Garth, Trailer hitches don't work well on the bow so yeah, I'm going to say it's on the stern.

GS450TX pulling a CB125S all the way to the left coast.

Next up... making a Quicksilver fit the bow.

'rustybronco' is the nicest person I've ever met. He custom fabbed a trailer hitch for my Suzuki and installed it Better than I ever could. He also custom fitted the original Vetter bracket for my Quicksilver even though it was meant for another bike ! Dale is wonderful

This is what makes me proud to be a member of the GSR community! +1 for Dale being a great guy - his help has even benefitted members across the ocean on other continents!

Good luck for the rest of your adventure!

I know that if I had bought this bike from Dale, it would not have needed so much work. I got it for small money from a man who I knew by many phone calls,I sure would like to have my tools here and my car. I just couldn't afford to do it that way so I opted for the present situation.. A Challenge but it will work-out in the end

If you had bought it from me it would have been ready to ride.

Thank you very much Dale How are you doing today, did you do that trip you had planned? I sure wouldn't have been able to do this without you.
I'm going to see Steve Conlan tomorrow.
I purchased a Hopkins brand taillight converter today. I hope the rain will finally 'stay gone' for the next 3 days..

I'm doing OK today. The back feels much better.

We did drop off the camper, In fact that's where I currently am. It's unfortunate that all I have time for is a quick trip up north just to return first thing in the morning. Had my mother not gotten ill last week a second trip to the same place in eight days to accomplish it wouldn't have been necessary.

Getting down to the wire and I still haven't found the fuel tank grommets that Dan(the man who sold the bike to me)lost in his packed garage.. They are the same as GS550E all the way on up to 1100E. I will probably have to wrap something into there until I get to CA,then get some online
