Sad to hear about Simon's death. He did seem to live life to the fullest.

That is sad news. Such a cool old geezer. They stayed with Jim and Kathy Brown when they were in Ohio, only about 20 minutes from me. So, I got to hang out with them some not on bike trip occasions. I remember spending the 4th of July with them at the Browns', discussing how odd it is to not get full darkness until 10:00 PM. Their home in Cairns is within spitting distance of the Tropic of Capricorn, so they don't get much variation in length of day. We all got to say hi to their daughter Peta via Skype. Simon said several times that she was going to inherit his bike collection whether she wanted them or not. Someone mentioned that he needs a new leather jacket, and he said she'd have to inherit that too. After he crashed his GS1000G on the way to BC, he said he got distracted wondering if American cows moo with an accent.
On their first trip over here they were passing out Australian gift shop memorabilia. I still have that stuffed kanagroo. I don't keep a lot of stuff, but I want to remember.Dogma
