Anyone else getting spammed by eBay sellers?

In the last couple of days I've received 44 unsolicited "offers" from different eBay sellers. I'm not talking about things that I'm "watching", I'm talking about things I've been searching and browsing. Many of the so-called offers are for $.50 off. Clearly, eBay is feeding my browsing stats to sellers of similar items. WTF is going on?

Happens all the time.
browse for items while not logged in and then clear cache and cookies and log in to make purchases.
Amazon does this too plus makes offers based on purchase history no way I know to avoid that but there may be a privacy setting for this and for ebay as well.

I get an email from eBay every few days about something that a “favorite” seller has just posted that I may be interested in. But I’ve never gotten email solicitations directly from sellers.

Today alone, I've received 15 discount offers from sellers on ebay, bringing the total over the weekend to 52. None of the offers are for things I'm "watching." They are for similar items, though. It's spam, pure and simple.

That's happened to me before, but not lately.. Welcome to the new normal, tracking everything you do and making assumptions with their crappy algorithms to sell you stuff you don't need and don't want.

Offers from sellers of items on the "watchlist" is normal. Offers on browsed items are rare, but not extraordinary. 53 offers (one new one since posting above) in two days, on items similar, but not the same as those I'm browsing, IS extraordinary. And tiresome. This spam is plugging up "my ebay", because it's right on the top of the page. Sucks.

Yeah, if they're going to start moving out the spamming to all their operational areas, I'll be closing mine down.
I don't mind getting reductions, but I'm not at all keen on offers from other sellers. I can find them for myself, and in the past ebay's offers of 'similar to what you searched for' have been laughably wide of the mark.

I have not been spammed with offers, however I see the same items, listed with different sellers but have identical presentations. I think some sellers post multiple identities. It may be one of those muti face sellers you have favored or "friended"..
I never select "remember this seller" button, that would be asking for spam.

The spam "offers" continue to flow. About 20 yesterday. Things like carburetors, R/R's, and carb rebuild kits, have joined the fray. I'm getting into the routine of declining the offer, so then I can delete the item off "my eBay" page. It's getting tiresome, though.

Edit: Okay, think I found some information about this situation. When a seller toggles "promote listing" (or something to this effect) then eBay's system sends out these smam notices to people that have similar items on their watchlist, or has bought similar items in the past. It's eBay's fault.

Hate it for you, It's got to be an aggravation, much like the 20+ phone calls I get every day, trying to sell Medicare Advantage plans... I guess it's just part of living in today's modern electronic world.
