what is my subscription

Always heard there's no dumb questions, just dumb folks asking questions. Probably me. Wondering, when I look at messages, when click notifications, it says @@@ has made a post on your subscription, or @@@ and others have posted on your subscription. I can't figure what constitutes "my subscription"?

If you have replied to a post you are subscribed to it. Alternatively you can click the subscribe button on the top right and manually subscribe. If you are subscribed any time someone posts on the thread you will receive a notification ......

Go look at your account info or someone else's.
you can see a send message button as well as subscribe

I wondered about maybe threads I'd posted to, but it says my subscription is Iron air batteries, but I've not replied to it and I've never clicked the subscribe button to any thread, ever, because I didn't know what it meant... Thanks, at least I know now how it's supposed to work

Once in a while I'll get that notification,

I can't explain it...lol

If it was because I replied to a thread and that means I am subscribed...i would have a lot more of those notifications.

Never thought about asking what was up however

Just figured sometimes it shows up, sometimes it don't.

At the top right of any page:

Pull down your user name, go to My Profile, click on User Settings. then to the Notifications tab. There you can set all manner of preferences for Subscriptions. set as you like, then be sure to save your changes.

Pull down your username and go to My Profile, go to the Subscribed tab. There you can edit your subscriptions, delete theme, etc.
