National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

My wife and I took part in Victoria today. I'm embarrassed about our country's history of abuse to indigenous people. But change is happening. Wonderful experience today with so much love.

Yup never taught us a Damn thing about this in our Jr high and high school idiot training.
never caught a whiff even at university it's like they ignored it all. Almost a conspiracy of silence like the Auschwitz neighboring communities.

I grew up between two reserves and as a child recall how natives weren't sold cars or allowed in the provincial liquor stores.
I know guys that had their mother tongues literally beaten out of them. Not in residential schools either.

It's a great think to acknowledge and give past wrong doing some kind of reconciliation.

Be thankful that you have become a compassionate and giving people, do not be embarrassed or ashamed of past , you didn't do it.
hopefully we've all learned from the past and moving forward to help others without even thinking about it.
