Cheap cell phone plans for low data usage.

    US Mobile.

$96 a year for Unlimited Talk and Text plus 2 Gb of data on any of the three major US networks.
Top up data any time for $2/GB; unused top-ups roll over.

    Excellent customer service.

Lightspeed (T-Mobile native network. Don't think it includes roaming.)
Warp (Verizon native. Does include roaming in LTEiRA areas.)
Darkstar (ATT native network. No roaming that I know of but the network is vast like Verizon.

Lightspeed, fast speeds. Only native T-mobile network.
    Warp, QCI-8 priority data speeds.
Darkstar, QCI-9 deprioritized under heavy tower loads. (Same as Redpocket.) iPhone uses may want to avoid this network for now as there are some start-up issues. Says it includes priority data. (Doubtful)

    After quite a few years I will be leaving Redpocket's 1Gb Unl/Unl $99 a year plan. (5Gb $180 for the past year.)

My boy has been using the redpocket for the last couple of years on your recommendation (thanks!). He also upgraded to the $180 one a couple of years back.

He only just renewed but we'll have a look at the others next time....

I have an AT&T plan that I keep threatening to change to Spectrum when they have a deal on... $15 a line a month incl taxes etc for unlimited everything, means switching to Verizon though and you need spectrum for internet.

Very interesting. I pay $15/mo for unlimited talk/text and 5 GB data through T-Mobile Connect pre-paid. For three lines, that's $45 a month. Know people who are still paying upwards of $100/month for ONE phone.

T-Mobile used to have a $5/mo plan for unlimited talk/text and (50?) MB or so but it looks like they got rid of it.

            Things are certainly different up here. :{

Best deal out there was Koodo (owned by Telus) unlimited Canada-wide calling, unlimited text anywhere and 30GB data.......$35/month

Comparable service from majors, like Bell Canada and Rogers.....add 75/monhth

That’s crazy good prices. Up in Canada, we have to pay $40-50/month for the phone rental for 2 years and then $60-100/month for the actual phone plan.

Same with US Mobile. Unl/Unl 5 Gb on any of the three networks for $15 a month taxes included. Native T-Mo coverage on USM wont have the same coverage as T-Mo direct which roams on ATT.
