Looking at the pics the chrome V&H looks out of place and all the alternatives look to cost as much as the bike Got together with the seller for the first payment,he gave us the brand new battery,an oil filter and new plugs. Also found out he has an OEM service manual and the badgesLast edited by Guest; 02-23-2014, 05:05 PM.

Sandblast the pipe and paint it black. Or better yet, find someone to use some of that high temp powder coat.Ed

That is probably what I'll do.No ceramic coaters here on Vancouver Island and shipping it to the Vancouver area would be priceyEven regular powder coating is pricey up here in the GNW so even trying to find someone to do hi temp isn't really something I'm going to try to find

Greg, sand blasting that pipe and painting it black appears to be your cheapest option at this point.

I have ceramic coated a few chrome pipes it's expensive but outcome is awesome and will last lifetime of bike , now I just paint mine with high heat paint , sandblast and paint , but have to do it every season which sucks!!

On KZR I read about "priming" the chrome with muriatic acid then painting, thoughts?

I don't know about Canada's pricing but I'll disagree on the cost of ceramic coating in the states. I paid about $165 (I'll have to find the receipt for more exact cost) for my ceramic coating and they look good right now, minus the sawdust from other projects in the garage. Check around for it Greg, it might save you some headaches.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

PC pricing up here is big bucks, certainly more than I have to spendIIRC the place in the Vancouver area is $250ish,with shipping a big box both ways it would easily add $100.Ferry trip to the mainland is $80 ONE WAY!Living on this Island can be a PITA at times.Last edited by Guest; 03-02-2014, 10:36 AM.
