This was dropped off to me last night a 81 csr650 Gsxr front Busa rear was built by a guy I know currently owned by the same guy that has that sweet fzr from the wheel swap fiasco. This should be easier he just wants different seat tail. I suggested a gpz seat tail to match tank but he wants cafe style see next pic.

Somebody put a lot of work into that. That is really modded out. It is hardly recognizable as a KZ650 CSR. Only the paint job hearkens back to the era (though from a different bike--ELR). It seems that the engine must have been modified to make it match the rest of the work that has been done. What can you tell us about the engine?

I like the all black seat better.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

The plan for the mount for seat/tail is an aluminum plate bolted to the frame at the battery box. Then panhead screws through seat pan into plate. I got a piece of 1/2" plate that gives the correct position for the base. Got the shape layed out and decided instead of paying someone to cut it I went a got a bandsaw that I've been needing for these type of projects.sigpic1982 gs750e 1186 oil cooled engine USD front mono shock rear

That seat looks MUCH nicer! Nice saw too, I alway love to have a reason to buy a new tool!
All around nice looking bike. I read through the thread so if I missed it forgive me, Have you rode it?? Wondering how it handles with all those upgrades.
