    Oil light on

I added around 3 quarts to my bike after I had drained it. I checked with the dip stick and it says full. I didn't screw the dip stick in when i checked it. Any ideas? It did work before I removed the clutch cover.

Check the connection at the sender.

It is possible to bump it so it is barely loose, but will not work.

Actually, now that I think about it, a loose sender wire will not turn on the light.
Remove the sender, make sure it moves freely and can break the circuit.
