    Custom 2 to 1 exhaust

Has anyone attempted to makea 2 to 1 exhaust out of the stock system on a 450t. I think it's possible I just dont know about the head pipe angle coming out of the heads

    Thanks

Hey Kirk, I had a custom 2 to 1 made for mine by a local exhaust shop.

Using the existing headers would be possible, but if you're going the custom route I reckon you'd be better off getting something a little lighter and doing it properly.

Not exactly an expert on this but I believe you can buy pre-bent tubing which you could cut and weld to get the right angle out of the head to suit what you want.

I initially considered doing this myself until reality asserted itself and I remembered I can't weld... haha

I weld and bend tube most every day do I think I'm able to do it. I see what you saying about using lighter tube but I think I want to use a bigger tube since I've never done it before and I don't want to burn hole s. I'm thinking of running it down in front of the motor to the right side so it never crosses under the bike and finishing it off with an atv style muffler.

Mate if that's what you do then I'd definitely give it a go! I'm sure you could get some thicker walled tubing for it too but again it's not something I've tried myself...

You're welcome to look at what the local guy did for mine too, it doesn't go under the engine at all

I will be doing the same thing you are talking about. I have calculated that i need a 1.375" OD tube for 22" before they merge then 24" of 1.875" OD tube for my GS400. I am going to cut the stock system up to make this also. I will be removing the inner tube from the stock system and just using the outter tube. I have a really small muffler for a pit bike that is the perfect size and shape. This setup should give me the best HP and will be super light.

It cost a little more but I got a MAC 2 into 1 ant it works and sounds amazing...time is money for me and the time I would have spent working on it or running around I would have been out the same amount of money ans it wouldn't have been chrome
