    GS850 Shims

    Higuys can anyone tell me what diameter the valve shims should be for a GS850. Thanks

          YOU have to determine what thickness you need by checking the current clearance, measuring the current shim to arrive at what size is needed... Suzuki Shim dia, is 29.5mm. caution! Kawasaki shims are 29mm, they will not work!!!!

            The only way to do it is to measure the clearance on your valves, then remove the shims (one at a time, please) from your engine, see what thicknes they are, compare that to what they should be, then move shims around in your engine as much as possible, then order new ones as necessary. The spreadsheet helps you with those determinations.
