Trans Is Puking up oil

got my engine oil fixed and now this...

its not over filled, only does it cold...but its also 10 or so degress at night...so i think its so thick it cant fall back down from the top when its running...

is there anything else i can put in there to solve this? other then the 80-90

Why not buy some synthetic 80-90 ; don't open it, let it sit out at night, in morning see if it appears thinner than what you got now- if not, take it back for refund.

Try 75w90 or 75w140 synthetic in it.

went for a 30 mile trip down the highway to get the oil warmed up to come out easier....the whole side of my bike is covered in gear oil....what in the hell has caused this...its just started

Have you verified the oil is at the proper level?

You have to pull the shifter cover to access the view port (pull the bolt out) to verify proper level, but it just sounds like your oil level is simply too high.

well i havnt added any oil since last feburary....i filled it up right till it ran out of the little hole...its never done this since about 4 or 5 days ago

i opened the hole up and some ran out...but i just started the bike and i figured it was doing the cause the oil is so thick it couldnt run down fast enough

Have a look at this for reference: Secondary Gear Oil Change.

Is the breather system plugged? Where is the oil leaking? Is the oil level in the crankcase changing? There is a seal between the crankcase and bevel gear case that has been known to fail, rarely. Crankcase oil can be forced into the bevel gear case causing it to overflow.

oil is normal a few days ago...leaks from the small rube connected to the small vent on the left side of the bike above the trans...

im going to go drain it an see how much is in there..and do more checking

drained about a little less then 1/2 a quart out of the trans...also bike was warm when it drained

put 75-90 syn back in it (bout the same that came out)

oil was 1/2 quart low, filled it up...let it run for a few minutes but nothing came out...

so what happens if this gasket is out...ive got a lower mileage spare motor im rebuilding...should i change the same gasket?

i guess the one between the cases..if i dont see any fluid in that line in a week or so ill take it back off and run it where its supposed to go

There is only sealer used between the case halves. No gasket involved.

Keep an eye on the engine oil level as well as the vent line.
