    Updated Shifter Linkage

Hey everyone, i just though i'd share this with you guys as it has changed my world.lol. Little backround; my bike would only go into neutral rolling, so when checking through things i found my shifter linkage rod was bent and the ball joints nearly destroyed. I looked for a replacement, but this part was discontinued or maybe i just suck at research. Anyway i decided to go with heim joints and all-thread to do the job.

So to do this, i took a grinder to the intereference fit ball joints from the backside of the pedal and back side of the splined shifter input clamp - thingy.
I hit up mcmaster carr for the 1/4" heim joints and matching threaded rod. BTW, these are just rated for 3800 lb static load....

I tried a LHT - RHT rod and joints for easy adjustment and tunability, but i could not locate fine-thread left hand threaded anything.

    Anyway hope u guys enjoy.

    Linkage adjustment

I think you should find a nicer feel to your gear changes if you adjust things so so the 2 arms your rod ends attach to are pararel? to each other. It looks like the front one is at least a spline out.
    Happy shifting Beamer12
