    Oil jet?

So I'm putting my 80' 1000G back together and when I'm putting the clutch back together I notice there is an oil jet on the inside of the clutch cover in the middle, at the top. I've never noticed it before, bit of a strange thing really. Anyone have the time to explain what it's purpose is?

Well I could be entirely wrong without seeing exactly where it is located and what angle the jet is on, but my off the cuff guess would be to lubricate the clutch release bearing.

I guess one could run through a shop manual and see what it says it's used for. Else I look at mine when I get back home this evening.
