    Yes, it can.

    Alot of motor oils for cars f.ex will tend to cause clutch slippage. Also mc oil that's not advertised as safe to use with a wet clutch might cause slippage.

      I was being sarcastic lol. I know what causes clutches to slip and oil is at the bottom of that list.

      Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

        If the plates all appear to be in spec, it's worth checking the cable for adjustment the PO or who ever was last at mine, got it woefully wrong in all counts.
