Anyone know the proper torque specs for the camhold down bolts ? I believe it is7 ft lbs but want to be sure
Andthe valve cover torque specs ? Again I believe its 6.5 ft lbs butwantto be certain ....

Use an inch LB torque wrench. 1 FT LB = 12 inch pounds.

And learn how to use it on something other than the engine, they don't actually click like the big ones, you have to kind of feel it break over.

So for instance 7 ft lbs would equal 94 inch pounds ?

Math is different in Canada, apparently..

7x12 is 84 around here.

So yes, 84 inch pounds is 7 foot pounds.

Congrats on the torque wrench and the GF. Use them both wisely.

Maybe ask her to do the math before you torque anything too critical.

Light oil on the threads is sufficent.
