    Clutch plate material question

    79 GS1000S

I pulled the oil pan and found a couple of chunks of material, stuck to the pan.
They are not magnetic, but are metal , i assume aluminum.
Closer inspection revealed that they appear to be chunks of a clutch friction plate.
I can see the part of the friction material including the corners of that material.

My question is were there any friction plates that wouldn't have been magnetic, or would have been aluminum?

    Thanks

The fiber plates use an aluminum core.
