What bike year and model? If this is for any GS 4 cylinder, or 2 cylinder, I had success, the one time I did this, from very good advice from forum members Steve and others, just using my fingers to first get #2 and #3 into the barrels, then #1 and #4. Takes a bit of fiddling but they'll go. Some cut wood spacers to slide under the 2 pistons that are up, which keeps the pistons steady as you work and then they won't fight you as you squeeze the rings and lower the barrels over the pistons.Last edited by Rich82GS750TZ; 08-27-2020, 01:10 PM.Rich

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.
