So, should we all contribute the change from our morning coffee or tea to the "Buy Seuadr An Airbrush Fund?"
BSAAF needs you. And your $.38

They just jacked my morning coffee up to just over 2 bucks so my change is .87 cents now that should help out right?
Hey I have one of those little air brush compressors that are constant when plugged in if that donation would help\\/
Of course if you get good at it the fellow GS'rs would need some custom work at a discount price..lol

HERE HERE!! pics please! of ALL your work...
your helmet, is likely either carbon or fiber glass, or a Thermoset Plastic. All should be fine with acrylic paint, but if you have a thermoset plastic shell, watch it with those solvents and use them lightly.

i still have to mask off the mouth to get that done, but i'm actually pretty happy with how the shading looks so far. i sprayed the last coat with a really light mistfrom about a foot away so it's got a little texture.. i was going for a bone look.

and now with the mouth:
all i have left now is some random shading around the "teeth" and to tie it into the other shading, then a clear coat over the whole helmet.
i'm pretty happy with it considering i've never painted anything really before, except art class, some 12 years ago. everything but the initial base white was done by hand, which is why it looks a bit rougher than by airbrush.
still from a distance of more than a foot or so it looks pretty sharp, and anyhow, if someone gives me crap about it, i'll ask them to show me their helmets painted by hand

Nice, man. Looks good. Never was a big Jack Skellington fan, but it's still pretty rad.

Either they don't wear a helmet and their doo rag / baseball cap was made by a machine or child in China or
They paid someone else $700 to paint a picture of a screaming eagle with a backdrop of the American flag overlooking the Grand Canyon and the words "In Harley We Trust" or something similarly silly.
In other words-- goofballs. :-D
Just slap 'em and be on your way. It'd be the best thing for them.
(No offense to anyone with a screaming eagle/flag/ grand canyon "In Harley We Trust" helmet. It looks awesome. I promise. I'm going to get one just like it when I get my tax refund.*)
My artistic helmet modifications are limited to stickers:
And I couldn't even get the damn thing on straight, so you'll hear no crap from me.
You could probably pick up some pawn shop helmets, paint them and sell 'em on ebay.

If anybody gives you crap about it, they'll be in one of two categories:
Either they don't wear a helmet and their doo rag / baseball cap was made by a machine or child in China or
They paid someone else $700 to paint a picture of a screaming eagle with a backdrop of the American flag overlooking the Grand Canyon and the words "In Harley We Trust" or something similarly silly.

..and here is the end result. minus a couple good coats of clear. i've gotta get some more abrasive to scuff up the rest of the helmet before i can shoot it with clear. the shading on the teeth is kinda subtle, but i think it kind of makes'em stand out a little dimensionally.

I agree that we still need to see pics of pauleyboys work...not to "jack" this thread. I click on his bike and only got the two sumos.
By the way nice work looks cool.
