matchless, you are aware that different markets got different paint and decals schemes, right?

have a look at bruno, although it's been refinished the decals are authentic

not sure what your market got as options, though

I could not find anything yet that gives the specific colour schemes that we got in the RSA. The colour scheme that I want to go for is the marble lemans blue and the striping as per saltymonks OEM example which was authentic for my GS's model in the USA. It is quite possible that we also got some of those but have not been able to varify yet.

Bruno looks very good and has a nice scheme as well.

Hi Matchless, I have been around the shafty GS' for as long as I can remember and have owned a sqadron of them, I am pretty sure that we never got the blue scheme of which you speak, the only 1000G's that come into this country were the black and orange livery, the red and orange livery for the 1000G's and the silver and blue livery, which was confined to the 850G's, but I must admit that blue is a very very nice colour.
If you look at the pic below, the decal stripe pattern was identical on all the bikes, the only difference was the base color, either black or red on the 1000G or silver on the 850G, but although the pattern was the same the stripes were blue on the 850's
All 5 my 1000G and 850G's were in the Black and orange livery.

                  Hi Flyboy,
Thanks for detail. Yes, I have seen a few around with similar colour schemes, but after receiving the sidecovers from the States in the Marble Lemans Blue, I am hooked on that colour! I have quite a few USA parts on it so maybe going for the USA scheme would then not be too big a sin!
Do you happen know where in our part of the world one could get a set of panniers for the GS - obviously the retro style?
                  Thanks.

                    Matchless,
have you thought anymore about a "USA standard" front fender to go with it yet?

Yes, I have a slight bit of rust on the one mounting flange and to remove that may affect the chrome, so the option now is to spray it the same blue, as I already have the striping pictures from Salty_Monk!
