    GK hardware questions

Does anyone know where (other than buying NOS OEM from the dealer) I can get the black edge molding that attaches to the edge of the fairing? Fortunately, the molding on the saddlebags and trunk is in good shape.
I also need to replace the 4 screws that secure the windshield. A POS used the wrong sized philips head screwdriver to remove them and really messed up the heads. I'll probably end up ordering NOS for those.
    Thanks.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.

    Present Stable includes:
    '74 GT750 Resto-mod I've owned since '79
    '83 GS1100E (The best E I've ever enjoyed, Joe Nardy's former bike)
    '82 GS1100G Resto project

Talk to someone that does auto / marine upholstery. That stuff is similar to the edging that goes around the door jambs of most cars. They also use it in boats to cover sharp fibreglass edges.

Reviving an old thread - Did you have any luck with this Willie?

Yes, Zooks. I had ALOT of luck. Fellow GSer, titanneil, gave me the molding off the GK fairing he had available. Not only the molding but he gave me all kinds of misc stuff I needed and didn't know I needed. Thats why I thanked him in my 1st post that had a pic of my finished GK. Thanks again!
