'82 GS850 GL rear rack: Same as 850G?

Yeah, I keep seeing rear luggage racks for 850 G's for sale on the parts section and I am wondering if these will also fit the L version. I know the grab bar and seats are different, but maybe the bolt on points are the same? If not, where does anyone have any suggested L luggage racks?

They can be made to fit, but will take some spacers to meet up with the rear mounting points.

It's easier to put a G rack on a GL than it is to mount a GL rack on a G, though, because of the way it has to curl under the tail piece on the G.

Appreciate the info. I'll give mounting a G rack onto my GL, i don't mind a little modification if it works well.
