Where's your sense of adventure Larry? I'd tell them to get and old tank, a few body hammers (including a shrinking hammer), a set of torches, some wet rags and maybe an old vixen file, then let them have a go at it. while they're at it they might as well get a paddle, a beeswax block, some 50/50...

If you want to mitigate pounding in the knee dents with a little bit too much gusto, fill your tank with sand. Will make it easier to shape and harder to "oops". The time spent on cleaning it out will be far less than the effort of popping your bodywork cherry trying not to ruin a tank.

I totally agree..practice on an old tank and get an idea of what you're up against..and the possible consequences..

Take a case of beer to your local body shop and get them to pop the dents out using a stud welder and slide hammer. Body and paint guys live on beer!
