There was unfortunately some dust and crap that seemed to blow in and stick to it today as well as the odd cat hair, but I'm doing as recommended and just letting them stay there as they can be sanded or buffed out later...
This is how it looked outside the garage pretty much for the the rest of today, so I'm glad I didn't go by the weather forecast and wait for it to improve:
So I took the precaution of leaving the flood lights on for another hour or so while I started cleaning up the garage to try to keep the warmth up in the booth:
And then I chucked another drop sheet over the booth when I started blowing dust around:
I ducked down tonight to do some other things, and they still seem to be looking pretty good:

I think the repairs turned out ok, there's still some obvious hard edges on the one on the rear of the tank but it's definitely much improved.
The finish seems to be pretty good, but I really need to get them out into some proper sunlight to truly see how good/bad there are.
Hopefully we actually get some sun this week at a time I can get them out there... just 15 minutes after/before work one day is all I need (yeah back to work tomorrow, holiday is over...)...
Thanks heaps again guys, I really can't express how much I appreciate the advice and help that's been given during this, and I would've been completely lost without it!1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

To be honest the pic's so far don't really show a true reflection, and they are definitely masking some of the sanding masks on the front and rear guard that are still there, but the tank and tail piece seem to be coming out pretty much as they are...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

You, Dale, Larry, and everyone else who chipped in were all a huge help.
I do feel some pride though that I did manage to work the gun and get that result, so I'm pretty stoked with that
And don't worry, right now I think I'm too scared to polish it! Hahahahaha
I've really gotta get some sunshine pic's done coz I have no idea how good or bad it really is yet...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

*Finally*!!! I got home and there was some patchy sun so even though it was getting towards sunset I got them all out for some natural light photos anyway, and I think it now shows a much more accurate representation of how they really look.
Definitely will need some work as there's definitely orange peel, but not to the extent that I thought there was. You can also clearly see all the dust and crap that floated in and stuck to the clear coat.
I can definitely see how nice and shiny they will become though!

But seriously, I'm hoping next Saturday will work for that as I'm not sure doing it at night is a good idea due to the lack of good light. I'd really rather do that in natural light I think.
I also need to get some buffing and polishing stuff. Checked out the house mate's stuff he has and it's really old and falling apart so no go.
The place I got my paint from also sells wet/dry paper up to 2500 grit, so my house mate will pick some up next week for me seeing as he can walk there.
