Good looking tank for 79 GS750?

So currently got some sort of aftermarket tank on her but no fuel gauge sensor on the tank. So got a fuel gauge off EBay and am going to fit a different tank and hopefully the wiring will be a simple thing once Ive snipped off the big plastic connector blocks. Anyone know of any other model tanks with fuel sensor that I can pop on with minimum effort? The bigger the better for me to give her some presence. (The current tank has 1 bolt at the base holding it on but sure a simple homemader bracket could over come any problems)

    Any ideas?

Where did you find a '79 750 with a fuel gauge?

I think the L model had one maybe?

I wouldn't know. I'm always too scared to look at the gauges when I ride one.

True. Couple that with the odd sensation of having your hands inside your armpits and they make for an exquisitly painful ride

But if I'm not mistaken, and lord knows that's a rarity, the 79 750L was a 1000L with a 750 motor. And im pretty sure the 1000 had a fuel gauge by that point. Ugly as sin, but whatareya gonna do?

As the owner of a 1981 GS 750L, I can say:

            They have a fuel gauge.

That we know, but the 79 and 81 are not at all the same bike. Not even the same engine.

The 1979 750L model has a fuel gauge and a sending unit in the tank. Yes this is the 8 valve model.

I got a fuel gauge off EBay... it didn't come with the bike. Blimey come on people lol. Now I just need a tank with a fuel sensor that will fit to the bike so I can wire up this fEBay fuel gauge. Any ideas?

Are both front rotors on backwards? Hard to see the left one in those pic's.

What are you talking about Chuck? I was referring to the rotors.
Do you see the cooling holes?
