I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Being the holes are that small, they can be welded closed, then grind down smooth, repaint and you would never know they were there. And being in the area you are, I would do just that, leaving them open could cause some internal rust down the road.sigpicMrBill Been a GSR member on and off since April 2002
1980 GS 750E Bought new in Feb of 1980
2015 CAN AM RTS
Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

Plumber's epoxy from the plumbing section of the hardware store.....duh A two part epoxy putty that you knead together. hardens in 15 minutes or so rock hard. Can be sanded and painted. Easy fix.
Good luck,

To be honest if I already had it drilled I'd just mount it with that, stick threaded rod or bolt through there. I don't see the big deal.
