    The last NOS skunk tank?

I was pretty lucky the other day to discover an NOS skunk tank
In fact one of my collector friends noticed that my GS 1000 was a true skunk except for the tank
With a smile he indicated that he saw one two years ago at an exhibition and it maybe was still available?
Furthermore the tank was the same red as the prototype that was launched at the Paris motorbike show in 1977!http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzu...ki_models.html
To cut a long story short I got it today and the condition is pretty good after 34 years of storage.
    See for yourself:

Somewhere in this sentence I need to convey the fact that I hate you, only I can't bring myself to do it. So I guess these words will have to suffice for now.

    You lucky dog you!

John, i have a kidney that i am willing to part with...wait a minute, with all the abuse it has taken it would be a bad deal for you.
Congrats on the find. I like that paint scheme.

Steve, I'll keep that offer in mind just in case...
By the way, I also have a complete GS 1000 ET ( tank, rear cover, side covers, under seat cover ) strictly NOS in stock
As I don't have the bike to go with it...I will trade for less than a kidney.

That one probably doesn't have rust in it at all. Cheat.

Skunk refers to the white stripe the GS had down the side of the body work.

Thats quite an unbelievable find, but since I'm seeing pic's I have to believe it. So different looking with the euro paint job. You are one lucky man,
                            So...................................
What are you gonna do with it?

The idea is to put it on my GS 1000 EC (skunk) in place of the Cooley replica tank currently in place.
In fact when I restored this bike, I didn't realize it should have had another type of tank
