Many thanks for the photos. My panniers are definitely different,so looks as if the fairing may be from the GK but the luggage definitely Vetter.Back home tomorrow, will take photos of luggage, fairing and brackets and post then.
      Cheers

Picture of pannier. It does seem as if the fairing and topbox are suzuki and the panniers are Vetter.Cant unlock the panniers or locks on the mounting brackets as both keys supplied dont fit of course.
I have stripped the fairing, bit of a job as three srews/boths were rusted and had to be drilled out.The headlight seems a bit of a mission to change the bulb once the fairing is installed on the bike or am i missing something.
Have identified one of the brackets as the Panniers fitting bracket and another two seem to be for mounting the fairing
Have taken photos of the brackets but dont seem able to upload multi photos yet.probably my poor computer skills.

I was going to go out to the shed and get some pictures to support Dogmas's wonderful description. I believe that I have the 850 that he mentioned.

I have only adapted the rear GK luggage to my 850, not the fairing, so I can't help you with that.

If you need pictures of how the Vetter luggage should mount, I have my son's 1000G here and can take some pictures, if you wish.

Kids and grandkids are only good for wearing you out.

Cant believe it is six months since I started this thread. What with many things getting in the way ,including dropping the bike after collecting the pavement turning into traffic,I am back looking at fitting the fairing.
I have the fairing brackets but cant seem to locate mounting points on the gsx1100 frame.Tried looking for pictures ,including GK service manual and cant see how the fairing is mounted to the GK frame. Was hoping the GK frame would use fixing points that were already on the gs/gsx 1100 frame.
Can anyone confirm please whether the GK frame is different from the 81/82 gs/gsx frame with additional fairing fixing points
