NOS decal application
I just got a decal "S" for the seat cowl. I don't think it's a peel and stick' are these the kind you soak in water for a minute or two then slide off and apply? Thanks.Tags: None

Those are not water slip decals (soak in water type), nor are they peel and stick. They are conventional decals applied by a surfactant (usually dish soap) added to water and applied with a squeege..Last edited by rustybronco; 11-01-2013, 03:24 PM.

Yes, they are conventional decals. However, you can use water (with a bit of soap) to ease application. Mix just a drop of liquid soap with water in a spray bottle. Spray the area where the decal will be applied and then apply the decal. The water/soap mixture will make it much easier to squeeze out any air bubbles and also allow you to move the decal around to position it correctly. Once it dries it will adhere just as well as if applied dry.
