Same questions about the engine. Is there a prep & etch solution for aluminum? I've heard it can be tricky getting paint to stick to aluminum.

pre-paint prep
After soda blasting, should the frame be prepped with anything before primer? I've heard of using a phosphorous prep & etch. If this is used, does it need to be washed off?

Yes on the phosphate wash for the steel frame. Yes on washing with clean water too.
Not sure about the aluminum. I think you can use the phosphate, but don't leave it on very long.Ed
