Try some VHT Satin Black caliper paint. Bake as instructed at 200F and the stuff is very durable and really, really, close to stock. I understand it doesn't standup well if you don't bake it but I've never tried it that way.'84 GS750EF (Oct 2015 BOM) '79 GS1000N (June 2007 BOM) My Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/soates50/

I used this one:
On all the MC's / bars / top clamp on this FJ:
And it came up sweet. No primer. No baking. Spilt a LOT of brake fluid on the MC's getting them back together .....but no peeling!Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )
Past:
VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....

Awesome, been meaning to do this for a while with some of my control stuff but was putting it off due to not knowing which paint to use!1980/1981 GS450 - GS500 Cylinder + Piston Swap - "De-L'ed", custom seat, CB350 bits, 18" rear, etc.
