82gs 550l carb ?
hey fellas im new to this site but i recently picked up a 82 suzuki 550l gs. this bike is super clean all chrome and what not is perfect but i couldnt here it run when i went and bought it. i know the carbs are gummed up majorley so i took em apart and started to clean em but on to of the four carbs <mikuni cv> theres a little flat headed sxrew which i think is the secondary jet or accelerator jet wont come out the heads are pretty well stripped out from who ever took them apart prevouisly. any ideas on weather i should look ino getting new carbs or f anyeone has ran into this and figured out a way to get them out. i odnt know if thell have to be removed but everything else is gummed so i figured they problly are to. anyways let kme kmnow what you guys think. i k no the diaprams are in good shape still no holes. but i know i have to clean the slides and needles becuase there gummy and didnt want to move at first.Tags: None

Hi Mr. hmeric7,
A good fitting screwdriver, some PB Blaster or other bolt loosener, maybe some heat, can go a long way toward getting out stubborn mixture screws. They can be drilled out if you are very careful using a left-handed drill bit, but only as a last resort.
Anyway, I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.
