1977 gs750B jets

Just a few post up he said they measured 26 MM. He called ma last night and i told him where to measure them..I am confident he got it right. Maybe a pic of them all put back together and on the rack would be helpful. The jets and bottom screw are still in the open so mounting wouldnt hurt anything at this point.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Yes..at least the mounting will be out of the way so when you get an answer you can just carry on from there..if the news is good then fine. Then you know whats up ..MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

There seems to be a small hole in there, but i dont think its a brass jet. Both of the lower holes look the same.

Did you double check the throat diameter Andrew? What gets me is where do you adjust ( tune ) the air to fuel mixture....MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Dael..To sum it up shortly..He ws having the same basic problems i was having and was kinda mirroring my thread and getting his 77 up to snuff. Then he posted about where is the air screws. I told him to call and we talked for a bit. I told himm where to measure to be sure they were 26mm. Then he posted pics for me to see and i was stumped cuz that doesnt look like the 26s we are all used to dealing with.. I was wondering if they are real early model 26s and the ones we have ..having the SS added after the VM 26 ( vm26 "SS" ) is why they are different..MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

The jets that were in there when i opened them up were 107.5 mains and 17.5 pilots. The jets have the Mikuni stamp on them.
Chuck...I did measure those again. and i got 26 on the engine side and 40? on the intake side.
