Where can i find an '80 GS450L petcock?

I'm working on a 1980 Suzuki GS450L that has been sitting for a while, or at least the last time it was plated was in '95 and the last thing it needs is a rebuild kit for the petcock or a new petcock, but i can't seem to find one anywhere for an '80 model. I already tried a rebuild kit for an '81 and it is different. So, does anyone know if a complete petcock for a newer gs450 would work? The mounting bolts on the tank are 1 and 3/4 inches apart, center of the hole to center. Any ideas? and thanks for any help.

Post up in the parts wanted section here. Have you also tried Ebay? But, really the best option is to buy a new one so go try out Z1 Enterprises.

I have one that moves freely but I am not sure if it leaks or not as I have never had it on the bike.

        OEM part number is 44300-44250
Suzuki_Don has an application for doing a cross reference on the part.
Ask him and I think he will do the look up for you.

With this knowledge you can be much more effective in EBay searches.

          Hi Mr.

That part number (44300-44250) was used for these motorcycles:
          • 1980 SUZUKI GS250T - FUEL COCK
          • 1980 SUZUKI GS450LT - FUEL COCK
          • 1981 SUZUKI GS250TX - FUEL COCK
          • 1981 SUZUKI GS450LX - FUEL COCK
          • 1982 SUZUKI GS450LZ - FUEL COCK

I have been searching on ebay. I found a guy selling a kit for half of the petcock but not the pump part of it. The petcock on it looks pretty good but i would guess there's no way it doesn't leak plus with some use i would think the pump part of it would fail. and it's someone elses bike so i want to make sure the guy can drive it anywhere he wants with no, or at least the lowest number of surprises. Thanks for the links and part numbers i'll do some more searching and i'll let you know what i come up with. thanks for the help.

Just ordered a new petcock. $92.37 shipped. I found a few places that sell new ones but the cheapest one was from SHS powersports. Their shipping was kinda high though. $15 and BassCliff the site you gave the link for is amazing. Thanks for the help. But as long as no surprises come up, that was the last piece the bike needed.
