    What exhaust systems will fit???

I have a 1980 gs850g and would like to search out the expertise of all of you to find out which years and different motors exhausts will fit my motor without to much fuss. Thanks

Without too much fuss the 1980~1981 GS850G and 1000G will fit. a 1979 Gs850G will be a direct bolt on as well. be careful if you try and mix and match pieces. 1980-81 GS850G's used a pre-muffler, the others did not.

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. milkydolan,

Additionally, for the record, I have a 1980 GS850GL exhaust on my 1980 GS850G. The "L" exhaust is a little shorter and has a trumpet flare but it fits easily.

So any 80-81 GS850G or GL, or 1000G or GL exhaust should exchange, no problem. Others, like the 750E, 1000E or S (8-valve motors), might fit but require slight modifications to the mount points by the passenger foot pegs.

Now let me dump a TON of information on you and share some GS lovin'.

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.
