Auto parts store fuel line is needlessly fat, and the wrong size for our bikes (so a clamp is recommended).

Clear fuel lines kink easily and gets hard as it ages.

Tygon tubing is NOT rated for fuel use, unless you get the special fuel line type. Please check before using.

Glad to hear, as I just ordered an OEM line. Was wondering how I was going to get a clamp on the carb feed.

          my 2 cents...

the fat black fuel line can chaffe also when going over barbs and leave lil bits to circulate thru your carbs.. I know from experience.... blah!!!

I buy 5/16" Gates fuel line in 25' roll. 3/8" on the hopped up scooters.

I went to my local shop...they did not have 7mm but they did have 1/4 inch. 7mm =0.275590551. So 1/4 is just a bit smaller, I should be able to get it on the petcock.

If that line is reinforced, you will have a very HARD time getting it over the fittings.

5/16" line is real close to 8mm, so you HAVE to use a clamp.

The OEM line is the perfect 7mm and thin-wall, so it curves nicely and does not kink, as long as you have the right length.

Splurge. Treat yourself to the real stuff. It's $11.32 at G&S Suzuki.

Yeah, it's called "water drain hose" because it's used somewhere else for that purpose.

That "L:2000" tells you that it's 2 meters long.

They only use five feet of that for the water drain, you cut off the extra foot and use that for your FUEL line.

Okay, i get it. Just cross-referenced part #. Thanks for clarification, Steve.

I ordered so-called Water Drain last week, so if anyone is in need of OEM fuel line, I'll have enuf for 4 or 5 more bikes. No wonder that part is so pricey!

$11 and some change (plus shipping) isn't all that much.

Just make sure you don't get it from Alpha. They charge $18.40 for the same item.
