    CV carb identify part..pics

    1980 GS1000..name the part.

    Preparing to clean carbs and noticed I'm missing two of four of these rings.
    In looking at parts fiche not sure which part it is so I can order them ,In the pic you will see one missing.It's in the float bowl.I have Mr Barr's kit,this is not in it.

    I'm not sure you need these rubber rings as the fuel doesn't go anyway further.

      The rings are there just to make sure the aluminum plug does not fall out of place.

      If you tap that plug in to make sure it's snug, you can get by without the rings.

          I would at least stake the plug in place, I had one go through an engine once, messed it up.
