And of course the carb cap screws are fused too, but I will just vice grip them out and replace with shiny new ones.

Peened carb float pins?
So it's been a while but I Have a space to work in again so I started tearing down the carbs on my 82 750. It appears that the pins holding the floats on have been peened by the factory, no way they are just sliding out. Has anyone else seen this? How did you get around it? I dont want to take a dremel to them if there is an easier solution.
And of course the carb cap screws are fused too, but I will just vice grip them out and replace with shiny new ones.Tags: None

They should only be peened on one side. Follow the directions given in Nessism's carb rebuild guide found on Basscliff's site and it gives you suggestions on removing them.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
