Chopped exhaust

Hi everyone. I have a question. I have a '77 GS550 and the previous owner chopped the exhaust mufflers off at the ends and removed the baffle. I would like to replace it with the original to cut the sound. Will replacing the existing with the original require any additional work like changing the jets?

The previous owner only mentioned be had a "jet kit" installed. That is all the detail I have.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to do plug chops to verify the jetting. "Normally", when changing the exhaust the jetting will need to be changed as well, whether going less restrictive (what he did) or more restrictive (what you seek).
