Tank/petcock leak.
This may be a better place for this post as I originally put it in general maintenance. I rebuilt the petcock on my 77 gs750. When I first became a member I was told the petcock rebuild kits are hit or miss. I have a small, but noticeable leak between the petcock and the tank. Is there any remedy for this? A new petcock? New tank?Tags: None

You've already received a proper response to your other post on the matter. Have you tried what was suggested in that thread yet?

Or is it leaking out the bolts? New gaskets required. You might not have noticed there were even gaskets on there, as they get dry, hard and crushed.
If you don't know for sure, dry the petcock off, then dust it with baby/talcum powder to find out where the leak is really occurring.
