OK so its running. Now start on carb 3 from the left side of the bike and turn the side mixture screw in very slowly till it starts to buck and want to stall...then slowly turn it out and listen to the RPMs go up. Once you have reached the HIGHEST the idle ( listen and watch the tach for this ) will go up, turn it in 1/8 turn and rest the idle at around 1200.

Repeat this process on 1, 2, 1nd 4. Bet youll find your more at around 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 on them at the end. Leave the bottom pilots at the 7/8 out..thats the best I have found on all 4 of my 1000s. The fine tuning is now done up top.

The mixture screws on the side meter in air to the muixture..turning them IN will richen the mix and out will lean the mixture. Sort of like slowly cracking open an air line on a compressor..the more you open the valve the more air will come out..follow me here??

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

You also need to check the timing and the valves adjusted as was mentioned earlier. I think youn said you did a full carb tear down and rebuild with all,new orings..yes ? How about the intake boot orings? How clogged up and dirty is the air filter..can it breathe and not be getting choked to death by the filter???

Orings and boots are in way good condish.so no air leak.and from what I rwad sum people say 2 out on the main is good and 1 1/2 on the air.are they wrong?.I know it has to be the carbs though.
