cv 34 carb help

cv 34 carb help
ok got a set of cv34 , have them taking down to be dipped, do i need to take the throttle shaft /butterfly's out , i tried to get the screws out but they will not what do i need to do ?

Only reason I know of to remove them is to remove the shaft if your replacing shaft seals. And the ends of the bolts are squished to prevent them rattling loose and getting sucked into a cylinder..thats why they dont want to come out.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Most do not remove them. No issues that I've seen with doing a rebuild with them in. Just make sure you remove all the jets, floats, plugs and screws that are in the rebuild tutorial. Dip, Sonic Clean (optional), poke through every orifice and spray carb cleaner through everything.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

has made me wonder too, about whether the 24hr dips might be harmful to that part. My dip instructions said 20min or some such...
