    2 days and still plugged

Got a carb body thats been in a new can of Berrymans for 2 days. Cant get air or carb spray thru the circuit as good as the other are..which leads me to believe theres still some degree of blockage. Im very very seriously thinking on going tactical on it and dump some Prep and etch down the pilot jet hole..or maybe some liquid Drano. Hopes would be the acid will eat the crap up in short order and get it opened fully again.

Was also pondering some CLR and dip it in a bucket with that in there. Any thoughts???

Can you get a wire through the passage?

Have you tried to blow from both directions?

I wouldn't use anything stronger than carb dip. After two days whatever is may be inside that passage isn't going to dissolve with chemicals.

Yes ive tried both ways. Three of the orfices in the carb throats the spray comes out heavily and this one is maybe half as good as the others are.

I think you need to go ultrasonic.

Carbs re off 78 KZ 650D. The tube from the pilot jet hole to the orifice in the throat is whats plugged. Its basically a 90 at the bottom of the jet hole and then another 90 to the pilot port in the throat..thats why i cant get a wire in there. Cant make the 90 degree bends

What Berryman's carb dip did you use? I've had bad luck with the new "over the counter" version. Get a can of this: Berryman 901
and you'll have no problem getting those passages clear. Seriously, this is the original stuff that really works.

perhaps the blockage is not a remnant of fuelbut a chemical creation of moisture in the orifice over time.
                        Oxidized crystaline metal?

I may get some of that Eagle One stuff and squirt some down the hole. Sounds like it would eat any stalagmites away...LOL. Just wonder how long i should let it set before running some carb spray again to flush the passage.
