I recently swapped the rectifier from a Suzuki GS450 Kokusan Denki RS2142 into my 82 gs1100gk by directly hooking it up to the rectifier w/r to green and etc i noticed when i started the bike that it was overcharging at 15 volts with the head light on does anyone have any idea what i can do to step down the voltage?Tags: None

Either you hooked it up wrong or it's broken.
BTW, the stock unit is a combination rectifier and regulator unit.Ed
To measure is to know.
