HELP! Speedo Cable Guides GS1000SZ
I almost have my 82 katana together but I am stuck. Where do the two speedo cable guides attach to the frame?

You should look in the manual ; it shows all of the cable routing. There were apparenly head tub guides on both side for the Kat 1000SZ and 1100SD. The #1 seem to be consistent though for the clutch cable. You should double check the manual, the Kats have some different routing according to the manual.Last edited by posplayr; 06-25-2010, 03:02 AM.

I can't really get you any good pictures of this area because of the carb blanket/difuser. This one isn't too good either, but you can make out the harness ground along with the main ground cable;

battery negative goes to one of the right side, upper rear, crankcase bolts in the flatish section .... doesn't matter which one but make sure there is no paint under it.... this is the same place for most of the large 11's

Battery ground goes to second case bolt from rear, almost directly under clutch cable. I got this info from Ray, and then found it in the manual as well. I just did mine yesterday.
Did you find a exhaust (stock) pipe yet?
