    ,Hello everybody,I have a 79 gs 750 with an 844 big bore kit stage 3 cam from megacycle and a ported and polished head. My question is this would a bad rectifier cause the coils too go bad. It cuts out like a light switch after it gets hot but runs like a raped,ape when its cold...I have the green dynamics coils and the electronic ignition thanx

      Yes, coils have been known to go thermally intermittent. I dislike intermittent problems. You can find ignition troubleshooting tips on my site, but I think it would be easier to borrow a set of coils and see if the problem goes away. Now let me share the love.
