Do a search for Honda CM250 and make sure it's off an 81 and later. The 80s were six volt.
1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

so do i want it to be 12volt?

i think the links i posted are 12 volts?

the second one down is definitely 12 volt, would that one work? it's nice and cheap, haha.

        so like this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-...ht_2301wt_1052

Yes you need a 12 volt.
I was trying to save you some money since nobody usually searches these models.

Not this one. it's for a field style alternator.

                  Hi,

Look in the electrical section of my website for a list of the compatible Honda (Shindengen) r/r units.

                  Thank you for your indulgence,

                  BassCliff
