I have a 1979 GS1000L. I have narrowed the problem with the turn signals down to the turn signal control unit. I do not have an automatic cancel unit. I noticed that on the wiring diagram I have for the GS1000 for the TSCU that there is one connector and a loose wire. On my unit there are two connectors and no loose wires. I was hoping to just get a replacement but cannot find one. Could someone help me find a replacement or let me know if there is a suitable aftermarket fix for this? Thanks. cj ....HOLY Shiezah. I found the part number 38830-49001 and looked up the cost for replacement. Like $362. I found a diagram on this site http://---.motogrid.com/pages/OemPar...5%2f5602300031. It lists this as auto cancel. I didn't think mine was auto cancel though since my switch has an off position.

I was hoping to send you a link to an E-bay auction for one, it was listed as an ignitor for a '79 850. It says it just sold, the price $125.
Those things are now scarce, and I've been through over a dozen of them just looking for one good one, still am.sigpic
