    anyone round atl/ga 1981 gs850g signal probs

eck it wont let me edit it but my bikes a 1980 gs850g

the wires look fairly gimp where the previous owner tried to splice the sidecar lights into the motorcycle and ehh i mean it looks bad

but all the lights work the left blinkers work
but the right blinker when on makes a clicking sound
not like the click you hear when the blinkers working but a real fast click
almost like the box is vibrating its a faint click

have some other probs but if i could get the right blinker fixed think i could atleast drive it to a shop and have em service the bike

with a sidecar its a bitch to find somone who can help me haul it to a shop

i will try to upload pics of the wiring
and video with the sound the signals making
and the sound of the engine running it just doesnt sound right to me
thats why i want to get everything serviced

mainly want a safe ride for me and my lil girl ill try my best to fix what i can but when it comes to brakes or wiring i know i need someone with exp

It sounds like a short in the right side turn signal wiring. start by disconnecting one turn signal, (front or rear) then the other to see if the fast clicking problem goes away. the short could be in one of the turn signal lamps. if not, then I suspect you'll get to go through the wiring looking for a short to ground.

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. dcnadeau81,

Check/clean/repair all of the connections in the wiring harness. Look for frayed wires, melted connectors, dirty grounds, etc. Eliminate the simple stuff first. Yes, I know it's tedious but you have to start somewhere.

Let me dump a TON of information on you and share some GS lovin'.

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.

If there's anything you'd like to know about the Suzuki GS model bikes, and most others actually, you've come to the right place. There's a lot of knowledge and experience here in the community. Come on in and let me say "HOoooowwwDY!"....

Here is your very own magical, mystical, mythical, mind-expanding "mega-welcome". Please take notice of the "Top 10 Common Issues", "Top 15 Tips For GS Happiness", the Carb Cleanup Series, and the Stator Papers.
