    Resistor or Radio suppression.
The spark jumps a gap inside the porcelain insulator.
They will work just fine in your bike.

R is resistor so it has a resistor inside to clean up (squelch) a shaggy spark. you won't tell the difference but a resistor plug will foul quicker if your jetting is off- or you double resistor your engine with stock caps and resistor plugs.

no performance gain. old sensitive stock TPI ignitions and wild AC magneto systems used on the street need resistor plugs.

I like the EG series of NGK plugs - the G is a fine wire electrode. They cost a little more but you can feel the difference.

The normal ES series has a fat electrode and cheap -- they work fine in most every situation

B7 for winter and B9 for summer hot / highway riding.
